About The Company 

Our client, established in 1993, is a successful family owned company that is a leader and innovator in the manufacturing and construction industry. They service all of QLD and NT from their modern, purpose built premises in regional QLD. They provide eco-friendly designed cabins and homes that have at least a 6-star energy efficiency rating. Their buildings are designed to minimise the use of cleaning products, further reducing their environmental impact. The position has become available due to the continuing growth of the business and this is a great opportunity for the right individual with a determination to succeed.

About The Opportunity

They are looking for a construction Production/Project Manager to join their company in Gympie, QLD.

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and be responsible for the production and installation functions of the business.

Reporting to the Managing Director some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the construction process and coordinating multiple projects at any one time
  • Managing direct labour and subcontractors at the factory
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, sub-contractors and existing staff/owners
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment following company OHS policies and procedures
  • Tracking costs, planning and reporting to achieve an efficient and productive production 

About You 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Experience in carpentry
  • Experience with electronic scheduling and costing systems
  • A thorough understanding of the construction process
 from start to finish
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current drivers licence and a willingness to undergo health checks as required
  • The ability to troubleshoot while remaining positive
  • The flexibility to travel within Queensland if and when required
