Our Client

Our client was formed in 1985 in order to provide professional and culturally appropriate health care to the Ngaanyatjarra people in Western Australia. They aim to provide health care and education, encourage sustainable lifestyles through diet and physical wellbeing, and deliver health-related training and training facilities for people on the lands.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Remote Area Registered Nurse to join their company in Ngaanyatjarra Lands, WA with the potential to earn up to $130,000 - $150,000 per annum package | Base salary + superannuation + leave loading + additional leave + subsidised furnished housing + bills. 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide high quality, best practice maternal and child health services to women, their children and their families with the aim to improve their health outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Maternal & Women's Health Coordinator some of your responsibilities include:

  • Prioritise service delivery in clinics where no midwife is currently employed
  • Initiate and coordinate care of pregnant and post-partum women 
  • Assist program coordinators with collection and analysis of program information for monitoring and evaluation 
  • Plan and deliver special programs in the area including breast screening and children's health checks 
  • Provide high quality, evidence-based education sessions to individuals and community groups of women 
To be successful in this role you must be a registered Midwife and have current AHPRA registration. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the delivery of comprehensive midwifery, child and/or women's health services. 

To be considered for this position, candidates must also have a current manual drivers licence, national police check and WA working with children clearances.
