Our Client

Our client is a New Zealand concrete repair specialist focusing on two major fields, civil infrastructure and commercial construction. It is a trusted company that has evolved from a small family run business that has operated in Auckland for than 25 years.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Site Engineer/Project Manager to join their company in Waitakere, NZ, with the potential to earn $90,000 per annum | negotiable Salary $80,000 - $90,000 + vehicle + fuel card + incentives. 

The primary purpose of this position is to bring extensive experience to large scale construction and civil industry projects and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of design, planning and managing. 

Reporting to the Director some of your responsibilities include:

  • Project management from concept to completion of projects of $1m + in value
  • Ensure projects are proactively managed, executed according to the plan, schedule and budget
  • Engineering ability to carry out tasks such as pressure loss and data sheets
  • Organise site inspections and liaise closely with the client
  • Ensuring safety on site in compliance with regulations 

To be successful in this role you will have 2+ years project management experience with construction and civil industry jobs with a value of 1 million plus dollars. Additionally, knowledge in dealing with construction contracts and documents such as H&S, Quality Assurance and Environmental plans is essential. 

Furthermore, someone who has had frontline on site experience and possesses any health and safety certificates would be highly advantageous. 

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to work well under pressure, multi-task to meet rapidly changing deadlines and have outstanding organisation and time management skills.
