The Opportunity 

Our client is seeking a Hotel Reservations Manager to join their company in Coles Bay, Tasmania, with the potential to earn a Negotiable hourly rate + Superannuation + Subsidised Staff Accommodation.

The primary purpose of this position is to devote selfless attention to all aspects of the reservation process to ensure a high-quality experience for all guests. 

Reporting directly to the Reservations Agent some of your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure guest profiles are completed and updated with accuracy 
  • Obtain and distribute reservation information efficiently 
  • Effectively resolve guest complaints and service recovery 
  • Manage room inventory & associated components 
  • Assist with the co-ordination of functions, events and incentives
  • Ensure all charges and receipts are accurately handled

To be successful in this role you will have previous customer relations experience in a similar luxury environment. Experience with the Opera Reservations System and any formal qualifications in tourism/hospitality would be desirable, but not essential. 

Candidates will require a high level of administration and IT literacy skills with intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Office. 

This position would suit someone who is professional, engaging and enthusiastic. Additionally, the ability to demonstrate empathetic behaviour and above all be motivated to work in a team to provide excellent customer service is key to this role.
